with 15+ years of experience driving patient feedback integration into quality improvement and decision-making.
With 15+ years advancing patient involvement in healthcare, my work is grounded in academic, professional and lived experience as an oncology patient. Together, these perspectives drive my commitment to equity, justice, and meaningful collaboration.
I lead patient experience and engagement initiatives that strengthen how patient feedback informs quality improvement and decision-making. I work closely with patient communities, researchers, clinicians, industry, and policymakers to co-design patient-centred solutions.
As Co-Chair of the HTAi Patient and Citizen Involvement Group, I help foster global collaboration and build capacity for patient participation and evidence generation. I also contribute to initiatives as a Patient Partner with the Patient Voices Network.
Previously, I supported the development of Brazil’s national process for embedding patient and citizen perspectives into Health Technology Assessment. This included leading Conitec’s first national event for patient groups—bringing together more than 100 organizations—and later developing an evidence-informed framework to improve the involvement process.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple purpose: ensuring that patients’ and citizens’ voices are valued, heard, and meaningfully integrated into decisions that affect their lives.
